Lyonia Environmental Center: Adventure Begins! In-Person
Gateway to a 360-acre scrub habitat, Lyonia Environmental Center provides visitors with a unique insight into Volusia County's fragile ecosystems. Christie Miller, the Lyonia Center Manager, will share how the center promotes an understanding of the county's natural environment, the heritage it sustains, and the challenges it faces. Learn about the center and the preserve, which is home to nearly 100 Florida scrub jays, more than 150 gopher tortoises, and many other species that thrive in this arid ecosystem. Come meet an Animal Ambassador from Lyonia! This event is intended for ages 12 and up.
