Recipes and Reads Culinary Lab: Culture and History of Food – Onigiri

Recipes and Reads Culinary Lab: Culture and History of Food – Onigiri In-Person

To celebrate Port Orange Comic Day and Asian American Pacific Islander Month we will be making Onigiri. A popular Japanese rice ball snack filled with different types of filling. Join us to learn how to make this historically significant snack and even make your own! This will be a live demo and a participatory event. Supplies will be limited, so it will be on a first come, first serve basis. All ages are welcome, but children will need to be accompanied by an adult and adhere to food safety regulations.

This project was funded under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Florida’s LSTA program is administered by the Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.
