Poetry Writing Workshop Series Part 1 In-Person
Registration for the first part is required for this three-part series. Taught by Carl Scharwath of the Creative Happiness Institute, this course is designed for beginners and aspiring poets. Through interactive workshops, readings, and writing exercises, students will learn the fundamentals of poetic forms, imagery, metaphor, rhythm, and sound. A variety of poetic styles, from free verse to traditional forms such as sonnets and haikus, will be explored. Weekly assignments and peer critiques will foster a supportive environment to develop and refine poetic voice. No prior experience is required—just a passion for words and a desire to create. Additional dates are January 22 and January 29.
